BUTT OUT KIDS ABOUT! is an initiative of Ready Mob, Tackling Indigenous Smoking team to encourage our mob to make our home and car Smoke Free places.
Our Smoke Free Community are coming together to make sure that we aren’t exposing our kids to the harmful effects of cigarette smoke.
Second hand smoke is bad for our kids’ health. Our children are the future and it is our aim to support families to make their homes and cars Smoke Free.
Together, we can make a difference and encourage our mob to be Smoke Free and remember to BUTT OUT KIDS ABOUT!
WHO ARE YOU SHARING YOUR SMOKE WITH?
Our BUTT OUT KIDS ABOUT! campaigns aim to promote Smoke Free places, such as the home and car, because second hand smoke causes numerous health problems in infants and children, including more frequent and severe asthma attacks, respiratory infections, ear infections, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

There are over 7,000 chemicals in one cigarette and lots of those hang around in the house and car and on our clothes for days. Even if you don’t smoke, breathing in someone else’s smoke can be harmful. Young children are the most affected and the least able to avoid it.
We’ve got lots of deadly giveaways for our mob to win when they sign our BUTT OUT KIDS ABOUT! Smoke Free home and car pledge. Just fill out the Smoke Free home and car pledge to go into the draw to win one of our backpacks, lunch boxes, and bucket hats!
